THE STONE MAD ULTRA

STONE MAD is a two day, Multi-Stage Marathon through the Heart of Ireland.STONE MAD Ultra Marathon (Day 1- 62km / Day 2- 55km*)



Athy welcomed  participants to the country's first 'Stone Mad Ultra' multi stage marathon on Saturday, 13th July. STONE MAD brings an exciting NEW race format to Ireland. It is a two day multi-stage marathon. Run, jog or walk!You can participate on one or both days. There is an option for an over-night stay on Saturday between stages. Unlike any other race in Ireland, you can build your own race! Choose the number of days and the distance you want to race. Day One starts in Kildare and follows the course of the River Barrow to Carlow with nice underfoot running surfaces. The Day Two course, which starts in Kilkenny, will be a bit more challenging as participants ascend Mount Leinster.
